About IAMRA

The International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) is a non-profit association with 75 members representing more than 35 countries. IAMRA’s purpose is to support medical regulatory authorities worldwide in protecting the public interest by promoting high standards for physician education, licensure and regulation, and facilitating the ongoing exchange of information among medical regulatory authorities. IAMRA strives to be responsive to the needs and future direction of medical regulatory authorities worldwide. About the Meeting

The success of biennial international conferences on medical regulation held since 1994 has led medical regulatory authorities around the world to recognize that international collaboration is an essential element in their role as public protectors.

The International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) 10th Biennial Conference on Medical Regulation will take place October 2-5, 2012 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The focus of the conference is Medical Regulation in the Real World: Bringing Evidence to Bear and will include interactive programs on registration and licensure, complaints and resolutions, and quality assurance (currency of competence/maintenance of licensure). The IAMRA Institute, an optional pre-conference workshop that will provide an opportunity to focus on selected topics that are essential to medical regulation, will be held on the afternoon of October 2, 2012.
